Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese football superstar, has announced the launch of his fourth non-fungible token (NFT) collection in partnership with Binance. The new collection, set to debut on May 29 on the Binance NFT Marketplace, will celebrate Ronaldo's illustrious football career and feature highlights from his storied journey.

According to a blog post from Binance, Cristiano Ronaldo commented, "My football journey has seen me travel around the world, and I've been honored to play for some of the most prestigious clubs out there. Now it's your turn to join me on that journey too."

The exact number of NFTs in the new collection and their pricing details will be revealed upon the series' launch. However, the post stated that the pricing for the "Normal NFTs" will be the same, while the "Super Rare NFT" in the collection will have a different price point.

Previous NFT events featuring Cristiano Ronaldo have offered unique experiences for holders, such as the opportunity to play football with the legend himself as part of a Binance promotion.

Despite the excitement surrounding the new NFT collection, Cristiano Ronaldo faces a $1 billion class-action lawsuit in a United States district court in Florida. The lawsuit, filed in November 2023, alleges that Ronaldo "promoted, assisted in, and/or actively participated in the offer and sale of unregistered securities in coordination with Binance," and that he should have been aware of Binance's involvement in such activities.

The lawsuit against Cristiano Ronaldo stems from Binance's previous legal troubles, which culminated in founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao being found guilty in the U.S. of enabling fraud. In April 2024, Zhao was sentenced to four months in detention for his role in an alleged money laundering scheme.

As Ronaldo launches his fourth NFT collection with Binance, the football icon continues to face legal challenges related to his participation in previous NFT sales. Fans and collectors alike will be eager to see the details of the new collection and how it celebrates Ronaldo's remarkable football journey.
