Sony Bank Set to Launch Web3 Entertainment App “Sony Bank CONNECT” – Pre-Registration Campaign Begins

Sony Bank has initiated a pre-registration campaign for its forthcoming Web3 entertainment application, “Sony Bank CONNECT,” scheduled for release in the summer of 2024. The campaign commenced on June 19, 2024.

During the pre-registration period, users can apply for a “Pre-Registration Digital Content Exchange Voucher NFT.” Upon the app’s release, those who download “Sony Bank CONNECT” will receive a 3D collaboration digital content featuring the popular character “Marshmallow Man” from ‘Ghostbusters/Frozen Summer.’

In March, Sony Bank announced the summer release of this app. “Sony Bank CONNECT” is designed to provide a secure and enjoyable Web3 entertainment experience, themed around “connecting to expansive and inspiring experiences.”

Additionally, the app will integrate with the NFT marketplace “SNFT,” operated by the Sony Group, allowing users to display and enjoy NFTs they own on SNFT. Sony Bank is also progressing with the requirements definition and design for a blockchain-based wallet, positioning “Sony Bank CONNECT” as the first step in this initiative, as reiterated in March.
