Tokyo Startup Gateway (TSG) is an intensive entrepreneurship contest and community that transcends boundaries, fostering young entrepreneurs who aim to change the world from Tokyo through technology, manufacturing, social innovation, real business ventures, and global perspectives. Beyond a mere contest, TSG provides a platform for individuals with shared aspirations to connect and become part of a supportive "startup cohort."

At the outset, outstanding or feasible business plans are not required. Your hidden dreams and passions are the starting point. "What kind of world or society do you want to create or witness?" This year's slogan is "BORN TO DREAM."

It is the passion of each individual that drives world-changing endeavors. Transcending conventional thinking and imagination, TSG enables aspiring entrepreneurs to deepen their visions and accelerate their actions. Through mutual mentorship with fellow "startup cohorts," hands-on lectures and mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs, user interviews, and prototype development, you will refine your ideas into world-changing business plans. We eagerly await your bold ideas that will shape the next 100 years.

Start with a 400-character idea; a foolproof plan is not required initially. Pour your passion into the contest without hesitation.

The grand prize winner receives ¥3 million, while two runners-up receive ¥1.5 million each, and seven finalists receive ¥300,000 each. Semifinalists and above receive support packages from sponsoring companies, and if they establish a company in Tokyo within the next two years, they will receive ¥1 million in funding from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Over 30 leading Japanese entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and accelerators serve as mentors, providing powerful support. The community of "startup cohorts" who embark on this journey together and overcome challenges collectively becomes an invaluable asset.

Renowned entrepreneurs and professionals across various domains share their wisdom and know-how essential for the idea and seed stages through lectures. TSG also provides opportunities to connect with crucial resources for startups, including founding team members, early customers, media, and angel investors.

STAGE ZERO is where you articulate your unrecognized or long-held dreams in 400 characters. Writing helps you find the perfect expression for the world you envision and reflect on the dreams and ideas you truly desire.

This stage includes the "STARTING DAY" event for participants, where you can meet fellow aspiring entrepreneurs and gain inspiration from experienced founders through engaging content. By communicating your dreams and ideas, receiving feedback, and listening to others' aspirations, you will discover your genuine passion and the driving force behind realizing your unique vision.
